Rush Question!!
by: lolIs it bad to tell the girl you are talking to during rush that you have a family member that had been in that sorority? Almost all of my family members have been in one sorority and I’m not sure if it is taboo to tell the girls from that same sorority that information.

If this were true then your family members, and you, would already actually know how your legacy at this sorority works and what to do about it. None of these other commenters know a damn thing about it. No house 'knows' you're a legacy unless your legacy family members have notified them via the official form or whatever that sorority uses. Legacy never gets a bid but it can get you to the top of the bid list at pref.

Yeah i’m sorry I was just wondering cause the family members I have in this sorority aren’t direct. They are like cousins i’m not super close with and other distant relatives. So i’m not a true legacy but I was just wondering. Everyone I am related to has written me a rec and I just didn’t want to bring them up and seem like i’m expecting a bid cause i’m not at all! Sorry to come off like I don’t know what is going on!
