Y'all aren't even close to Berkeley, UCLA, MIT, VT, Vanderbilt, Duke, Wake Forest, GT, Stanford, etc. When you clearly aren't.
Y'all worked hard to get a good GPA and SAT/ACT score just to make it to a school that is garbage, but hey y'all can get wasted at your SEC tailgates and insane SEC parties.
Y'all came here to party, let's all be honest about that. Academics are not why anyone comes to UGA and if it was.... Your academic standards could use some upgrades...

Hahahaha What academics?? Y'all ain't got ____, even GA state has one of the countries best law schools, KSU has a top nursing school, of course Emory and Tech are great for people actually trying to learn.
Don't tell me yall have a good business school because everyone says they have a good business school. What is a skilled school y'all have that is good?
The only reason it's hard to get in is because it's a big party school and everyone wants to get in or it's their 3rd or 4th fall back.

Agreed 100% coming from a kid from bama the only downside to uga is that it’s pretty clichey cuz almost everybody’s from instate, but you do have good a great social and academic presence.

Imagine having to lie to yourself about being in a school for academics when the school doesn't have a single top 20 program, BUT has a top 3 Greek scene and parties. Not to mention a mediocre football team hahahah

UGA is an average academic school, for the try hards in HS who missed out on social lives studying. They Picked UGA because it's competitive to get into, so they can lie to themselves that it's competitive because of academics, and not because it's a top 3 party school and Greek scene.

UGA isn’t competitive to get into. Your admissions are the most complicated and corrupt out of any school in the south. It’s like they set a minimum and literally do the lottery and pick a random applicant to accept. There’s people who got into Tech and Duke but didn’t get into UGA because there’s really no admissions standards, just whoever has the most money

There is a lot of elitist people at this school. I see where you're coming from 100%, and thankfully after experiencing the Greek scene and fun, I'm going to be transferring to a much better school. That way I will actually get a degree from a better program. I was very disappointed with the lack of academic rigor. Most of the "academics" here are focused on football, and our team is always disappointing.

The school isn't for smart people at all. It's a party school and we all know it.
If academics was any part of your decision to come here then you got low standards. The academics here are garbage.
