Discrimination in greek
by: MielpopsWhat exactly are sororities and fraternities doing to rid of discrimination in the rush processs?? cause ive seen so many stories of people getting turned away simply because they're black and they will "lose funding if they let them in" and so many girls saying they felt like a token black member and their sister never really accepted them. and why are chapters with more minority students seen as less?

What are black fraternities and sororities doing to be more accommodating and accepting of white people interested in pursuing their organizations ?? Not being funny here . I was discriminated when interested in learning more about fellowship within the community. Please Advise ?

Great questions. If you are a PNM, I would suggest looking for chapters that show genuine kindness and a welcoming nature over popularity, although you raise a great point as to questioning why chapters with more meaningful diversity are also often “less popular.” Perhaps Panhellenic/IFC Greek Life as a whole should reprioritize what they value in organizations.
