The people involved in that are no longer on campus, and chapters can change radically as people graduate and new members are selected. Doesn't change what happened in the past, but doesn't mean that that is the culture at the chapter now.

DPhiE currently is one of the most woke and accepting chapters on campus

And they have a WOC president, which I do think is notable because while houses will accept WOC they don't always encourage them, feature them, or vote for them for leadership

Aopi has one testimonial too. And it’s on Facebook. One of the mothers thought she was a house worker not a sister on move in day. There’s more to the story but I forgot. She graduated already though and stayed all 4 years.

That's not really a testimant to AOpi and how they as a chapter treat POC though. The testimony of Aopi that I read was that a frat wouldn't hang out with them when they took a WOC and there were comments on here saying awful things. That's more of a testimony of this person's experience with racism within Greek life as a whole than to AOPi

Yeah I read that too, it sounds like there were two incidents--one involving the Phi Mu house mom and one involving the mother of an AOPi member. It's horrible and never should have happened, but it doesn't necessarily reflect on AOPi members themselves.

There was another one about AOPi where the person said that KA refused to have a social with them because they had POC new members and as a result AOPi refused to have any social functions with them. I feel like that says much more about what AOPi members are like.

I’m not a pi phi but I know for a fact that they have a safe house. It’s the most poc I’ve seen other than dphie in Milledge. They have their own “niche” and keep each other up.

Yeah I’d say it’s AXO, Chi O, DG, Pi Phi, Gamma Phi? Maybe a few other i’m not sure of but those are at least the most welcoming to POC in my eyes.

the safest and most welcoming houses for bipoc in no particular order are:

dg, dphie, pi phi, hands down.

even tho DZ had that grad pic scandal they do seem to have a good number of woc, maybe not as many as pi phi or such but still

AXO, DG, and Pi Phi have always stood out to me for genuinely welcoming POC and just being good people in general.
