Caught w/ fake id consequences?

So I'm gonna be a freshmen next year and I plan on getting a fake ID so I can go in bars and whatnot. I was wondering what y'alls personal experiences w using fake ID's in athens as well as what happens if u get caught? I know it's a misdemeanor but like I wouldn't imagine anything more than the bouncer just not letting you in if they think it's fake. Like will the bar call the police on you? Will the bouncer take your fake from you? (If you're not gonna be helpful in the replies or tell me to not go to bars then please stfu and get a hobby, thanks)

Just stick to the freshman bars and the worst thing that’ll happen to you is you get turned away. Some places are a little stricter, but I breezed through the whole year using a whole other persons fake.

Worry more about jay-walking. Cops are way more aware of what’s happening on the street than in the bars, so one slip up, or a particularly rowdy night, and you could end up in cuffs on the side of the road
