fraternity comments

How is the frat? Is it as fun as some of the others like fiji

Top 3: SAE, KA,Sigma Chi
-Chi Phi just barely misses the cut. They suck everywhere but Georgia. They are losing their house and have lower numbers.

Next 3: FIJI, Beta, Lambda Chi
-Theta Chi is just below. They don't have the alumni and are just a recent hype that is declining. Lambda Chi better watch it too. They are letting the good name it used to have die.

Next 3:Sig Ep, ATO, Sigma Nu
Sig Ep is about as good as it will get. ATO and Sigma Nu on the other hand will keep going up. Both came back on campus last decade and are improving every year.

If you are in one of these houses you are in a good fraternity at UGA. Lets just leave it at that.

Top-Sigma Chi, KA, SAE, Chi Phi
Middle-FIJI, ATO, Lambda Chi, Theta Chi, AGR, Sig Ep

I agree with "in reality" if you are judging on perception. For some reason these in the so called top are considered prestigous. However once you have been at UGA a while you figure out that these groups are more into heavy partying and drinking and really don't have the substance of other UGA students. It is hard to understand that when you are a freshman, though.

Ok can we please quit this rating of UGA fraternities? If you find a group of guys you like and feel confortable with then that makes them the group for you. This rating of groups really makes the Greek system look superficial, trivial, and childish. This is not what the majority of guys in fraternities are like. SO if yo are looking at this site to try to figure out what fraternities are like, just know that these comments and ratings are mostly childish and not representative of UGA students.

this is true. If you are being rushed by a "top house" then you probably will fit in a "top house" And if you are not being rushed by a "top house" there are still good fraternities. UGA has become a selective school and most students have qualities that would benefit a fraternity. There are enough fraternities at UGA that most guys can find a place they would like to join. I agree that these rating comments are very "middle school" and really put a bad light on fraternity values. It is things such as this that justify the ridicule that the Greek system gets.

Chi phi has already given out over 30 bids and has only had 18 take if that tells you anything...

these ratings mean nothing. Percentages are being manipulated by a few losers who have nothing better to do or by fraternities to mislead. If you are being rushed just look at the group and think if you would enjoy being around the guys for your time at UGA. Don't worry too much about all these rakings and top tier crap. If you have hung out with the brothers a few times then you will know if you fit in. The rest of this stuff is really very superficial and very high school. I hope most of us have moved on past that stuff.
