OOS Girl Rushing
by: oosAre oos pnm’s looked down upon during rush? Is it not possible for oos girls to get into a top/upper mid house? I have good grades and decent personality, but since I don’t know anyone will it be out of the question to get a top house?

Yes, being out of state is difficult if you don't know anyone and you have no connections in most of the sororities. A lot of the most popular sororities have some type of connection. You can still find a place you like, but it absolutely is harder if you don't know anyone from Georgia, or in a sorority. Good luck. You can find a place, but it is rare to get into the most "popular" ones without some "in". The process SUCKS

100000% yes. i can say from personal experience and being on the other side of recruitment, if you are OOS with no connections and or no large social media following, you are automatically limited to maybe three houses. try to find a connection or get an in somehow is my reccomendation for you <3

having connections def gives you an in but you dont need it to be somewhere thats a good fit for you. come in open minded and let your personality shine and see what happens. be openminded, if youre picky about which sorority you want the sororities will notice and be picky about you
