rushing without connections

I'm rushing in the fall, and I'm from in-state, but I don't have any friends in sororities. There are definitely some girls that know OF me, and a few I used to know (years ago) who are currently in sororities at UGA, but none I talk to regularly.
I'm just aiming for upper mid to lower mid tier -- I don't care at all about being old row, and I think I would be happy with going practically any sorority. I am getting recs right now, and I am planning to ask a few recent UGA sorority alumni I know.
Do I have a chance if I don't have solid connections?

The only way you’re gonna have a successful rush without having major connections is dropping your expectations about tiers. You def can make it upper mid but look for girls you genuinely get along with not for reputation

Upper mid to lower mid is mid. Are you sure you got into uga?
