rush questionn!
by: godawgs!Im rushing this fall and was wondering if ya'll had any info on what your place in line means with the different sororities? If someone is in the front does that mean that they are on the top of their list?

Most houses will just put you on alphabetical order & the girls in the house will be arranged so that you end up being “picked up” by the right girl. Some other houses unfortunately do put their top priority PNMs at the front of the line. This is the case at ADPI & KKG I’m pretty sure, or at least was when I was going through. My group was late getting to ADPI because the bus took so long to get us from AXO to ADPI, and when we got there the round had already started so the gamma chis literally called out like 10 names, lined them up in a specific order in the front, and then told the rest of us to just get single-file however we wanted. That was one of the most eye-opening moments during rush for me TBH. Enough that I vividly remember it & felt the need to comment about it here.

The “top tier” houses match you for every single round, and you will be talking to girls who were pre-selected to speak to you. Ik some of the mid & lower tier houses don’t do that at all though, or not until the later rounds, so it totally depends on the house. The 5 old row sororities (Theta, Phi Mu, ADPI, Chi O & Kappa) all plan it all out months ahead tho and seem to be very specific about making sure PNMs talk to the “right” girls.
