It would be much better to advocate for NPC sororities to move back to longer new member periods, so new members (and actives) have more time to decide if it’s a good fit. There is very little risk of hazing in sororities these days which is why pledge periods were shortened in the first place. I believe chi omega still takes a full semester.
Petitioning for the NPC to allow girls to be initiated into more than one sorority is pointless, it will never happen.

this stupid petition/argument goes around every year at different schools. It never gains any traction and it never will. If you don't like the sorority you ended up in, even after initiation, then drop or transfer. Being in a sorority isn't for everyone and it's not the be-all, end-all of your undergrad experience.
