why does fiji and chi phi have so many out of staters

Chi Phi was always been heavy Atlanta Private School. As the University has developed a strong propensity toward admitting the public school grads and discounted the difficulty of the Atlanta private schools, less and less private school grads are admitted. Chi Phi has less of an instate pool to recruit. The out of state boarding school and private school guys are now getting the bids the Atlanta private school guys used to take. The Atlanta guys are now going to Auburn/Alabama/Ole Miss etc....
UGA will regret this in 10-20 years when all the donations from the wealthy Atlanta families are going out of state.

It's not that there is a lack of private school Atlanta kids, there are just less. There are tons of in state guys from public schools as well.
ChiPhi doesn't compete well enough against SAE, or ATO to be exclusively in state private school anymore. Fraternities like KA, Kappa Sig, SNu, Pike, and SX do better with the in state public school guys.
Chi Phi, like SX SNu and Fiji, are just dealing with more competition now. When they try to get public school guys they have to give out a lot of bids now. Other fraternities have guys from the same schools as the public school kids rushing and go with where they know more guys.
Idk if it's what that other person said above, and they just want a fraternity founded in the south, but they've been struggling maintaining the image they've wanted. idk if I'd consider VA the south but that's where almost every southern fraternity except SigEp, Pi Kapp (both SC), and SAE (AL) are founded.

I heard Alabama has a really good Greek Life scene there actually
