how did ddd nationals find out?

by: ddd

Probably way blown out of proportion like they are saying and could happen to any other chapter here, but once it gets to the attention of the national office then they have to take some action. Just wondering how the word did get to their nationals...was it a new member mom finding out and blowing it up, or reported by an alumna/chapter advisor, or did nationals find out on their own from social media monitoring, or what...

I heard a girl from ADPi either recorded something or screen recorded a Snapchat post and sent it to DDD nationals

I don't think you should put blame on other sororities for tridelt getting probation. They have to take responsibility for themselves.

Not surprising. It would be such an adpi move to do something like that.

Why would an ADPi, or any other sorority, be at Tri Delt bid day videoing? Come on.

That actually fits because ADPi national now has a partnership with the Max Gruver Foundation (poor kid who got hazed to death at LSU) and the foundation puts all reports of Greek hazing on their facebook. So yeah it def could have been ADPi. Why wouldn't they?

It was whoever from DDD that posted its fault because if they hadn't posted it no one could have recorded it. So you shouldn't put the blame on another sorority. People have got to stop posting stuff they don't want everyone to see.

Somewhere out there is a horrible person who has brought all of this pain and misery due to having an exceptionally vicious and vindictive personality...

I feel sorry for you because someday when you develop a conscience, if ever, you will have a long time to think about all of this suffering that you have caused to a group of girls who just wanted to enjoy their college days like everyone else....how you must have enjoyed sending that silly snap chat to nationals!

While there seems to be very little justice for Tri Delta right now, they will move on stronger and better! Adversity does build character and relationships!

For the person who started these actions, there will be justice someday somehow...
People always get what they deserve eventually!

It’s highly possible that the misguided informing will be the reason it all comes down as it brings attention that wouldn’t otherwise be there...
Informants and snitches will not save Greek life

That's a problem right there - your terminology of "snitching" and "misguided informing" etc. If we had done a better job of holding each other's feet to the fire as members and fellow Greeks then there would not exist the current coalition that is seeking to make hazing a felony in Georgia. So the choice is to hold ourselves and our peers accountable, or let it escalate and leave it up to others outside the Greek system: universities would simply ban us and lawmakers would put us in jail, all because we didn't want to "snitch."

This is the day that Greek life at UGA will begin its slow death...
This one terrible person has destroyed honor and opened up a floodgate of informing and mistrust and there will be no possibility of undoing it...

This incident was set in motion by a jealous outsider. Real hazing is reported by the members themselves...It’s unfortunate for the house who has this sociopath as a member...watch your backs!

Everyone will report on everyone else for the slightest thing and now a precedent has been set for the harshest punishments to be given for the smallest actions. The lawsuits and negative reporting will start and it will all come crashing down...thanks!

Classic deflecting with "destroyed honor" lmao. The strategy of handling this by looking the other way, covering it up, and trying to shame those who speak up against it is no longer working. The incident was set in motion by DDD. That seems to have been reinforced to them at this point. Placing blame on " jealous outsider" is how a child reacts. Enough childishness, just follow your damn rules.

I don’t think anyone is deflecting..
There is just some awful person out there who has done this and she will probably be “outed” eventually...
It’s really ironic when a mean person such as this one tries to apply good motives to something that was obviously done for nefarious purposes....
But as life goes on, she will live with that and hopefully learn that being spiteful and nasty causes so much pain
I wouldn’t want to be her going forward......

Really? Well there are some people in this life who are so beyond the pale awful that they would think of searching out nationals and delivering a picture to them in order to cause chaos...
The one who did this accomplished her goal for sure but it was not done out of kindness or for any real justice....
There was nothing going on with Tri Delta that required this awful person’s intervention...
I’m honestly sorry for this fool who brought this on...
She will have to deal with it

Yo, anyone who saw it could have reported it. A guy, high schooler, friend, concerned active, enemy, etc. The problem lies with the actions. Stop trying to deflect. If it hadn’t happened, it wouldn’t be a problem. The Greek system is under attack b/c of stupid stuff like this. We continue to make stupid decisions, it will go away. With the crap that happens at our frats, it is only a matter of time.

It could have been anyone for sure but that awful person will be known eventually.. this life has a way of balancing injustice especially when the motives were so ulterior. ..
Oh well, it will all end as it ends. But the person responsible for this will have to own it..

Are you the mother of this awful person? So glad that she took this opportunity to stand up against Bid Day drinking or any other activity that she herself deemed unacceptable. She is the judge and jury and probably a terrible person with no kindness in her heart...
Anyway this is awful behavior and Karma does tend to take care of everything.....
She has probably singlehandedly destroyed a lot of lives but so be it...

The one who posted the snap chat was ignorant and meant no harm and probably is in counseling now...
but the other who passed it on to nationals was full of hate, envy, and mischief
That’s the difference... the damage has been done now but this miserable person probably does not care at all and is probably laughing about the sorrow she has caused to so many...
I hope everyone can rise above it!

I can't imagine anyone would truly take joy in having such a huge impact on an entire sorority. I do believe the person that posted the snap probably feels horrible and responsible for hurting so many people. It is a really tough way to learn not to post stuff.

You folks blaming the informer for the DDD misfortunes are missing the point. If it hadn't happened, there would be nothing to report. There is a bid day rule for all the sororities-no booze and no boys at the celebrations. Everyone knows this. It's one freaking celebration without alcohol, yet these members decided that one night without alcohol was too much to ask for the safety of their new members and the chapter. Those are the people you should be berating. They are the ones that chose to jeopardize their chapter's standing with UGA greek life and with their national org. Put the blame where it really lies-with the older members who supplied alcohol to underage members.

The “whistleblower” should have started with the bid day alcohol junk in her sorority first.
