perception vs reality

by: GO GREEK

What sororities did you think you would like going into recruitment? And how did that differ from what houses you actually preferred once you met the girls? I'm looking for specifics because I think it is good to show PNM's why keeping an open mind is so important.

I hadn’t really heard great things about sk / didn’t know much about them so I didn’t really even give them a chance during rush but I know a few now and they seem super chill and sweet.

I feel like no one going through rush has heard of SK but when I went back for a few rounds i realized they’re actually a solid sorority with some cool girls. Upper middle for sure.

I thought I was really going to like kappa and knew quite a few older girls in kappa going into rush but both of the rounds I was there I seriously hated it and ranked them low on my list after that. I can put my finger on exactly why it was so weird something was just off with both the girls I had conversations with.

Let’s just get it over with cause this is where it’s going.

Me too. I thought I was gonna love Kappa, KD, Adpi, Phi mu theta, chi o but then I met them during rush and then thought gosh they’re awful.

Imagine that?

I was surprised how much I enjoyed my time at some of the “lower ranked” houses. I didn’t end up choosing one but I really liked a lot of the girls and it made me realize that rankings are dumb
