PNMs: Are you pretty, fun, have a good resume, good recs, tons of Instagram followers, and a great wardrobe? Good for you. There are girls just like you in every house at UGA.
Truth: every single house at UGA already has girls they know and are excited about. If you have connections at houses and present yourself well you’ve got a good chance at those houses. If you don’t have any connections you can end up anywhere no matter how beautiful and amazing you are.
Truth: the biggest differences between top tier and lower tier are the fraternities they socialize with and generally how rich they are. That’s why the top tier is top tier - money and connections.
Truth: some people will judge you based on their perception of your house. But you’re also going to end up being friends with people from all tiers. People date people from other tiers. It really doesn’t matter when it comes to real life.
Truth: do you know how many girls would love to trade places with you just to be at UGA? They would gladly take any house in order to be here. If rush doesn’t go the way you expect don’t drop out. If you drop because you think you are too good for a house you’re wrong. You aren’t better than the hundreds of girls in that house. Every house has socials, date nights, formals, sisterhood events, and philanthropy events.
Truth: you’re getting a bid from a house because they want you. Be grateful. If you drop you are going to miss out. Give your house a chance no matter where you end up.
