frats & sororities-socials/parties

Is it true that top frats wont have anything to do with girls that are not in top sororities? So even if a girl is cool, smart & beautiful they won't take her to a semi or formal or party if she is in what is considered a "just okay" sorority? Do frat guys give bros crap if they take a less than top tier girl to stuff or do they just not Bother?

Obviously a lot of guys in top go for a certain type of girl, if that girl happens to be in an absolute niche sorority or multi cultural sorority they won't care.
