top old frats sae & ka

How hard is it to get into the top frats if you don't have a family member that has been in one of them? Does it help to be from Atlanta? Are there things I can do to help my chances?

Most Old Row frats (sae, chi phi, ka) already have their fall pledge class established over the summer so you need to take that advantage and try to establish connections to any brothers if you don't have any family legacies. the most difficult thing is that most of these guys already knew each other in HS because they shared the similar friend group so that's why they're kinda exclusive. you'll see tons of private schools students OOS or in-state and even north atlanta HS kids lol. try your best but in my opinion, you need to rush where you feel like you fit in the most rather than changing yourself to fit into a group you don't click with. good luck !

I agree. You need to meet with people over the summer if you can. It does help to be from Atlanta schools that supply a lot of guys for specific frats. You can find a group that you like and they don't all have to be Old Row. There are solid guys in many frats.
