also-rush clothing for sororities
by: UGA23It sounds almost overwhelming with all of the expected clothing and accessories and the long day visiting all of the houses. Does anyone have any suggestions to help with planning all of that?

When I rushed people two years ago, I honestly didn't pay half a mind to what the pnm’s wore. I personally believe the most important things are you being comfortable and confident in what you’re wearing. Some girls might be interested/judging you based on the clothes you wear, but I would venture to say more people are paying attention to the conversation you have with them.

go for quality! your dress doesn’t have to cost $1000, but you should feel like it does. girls will notice if you look like you got your outfits from forever 21. not to say forever 21 isn’t awesome, but for rush you wanna look like you have an eye for quality. i remember a girl in my gamma chi group wore quality shorts, casual blouses and tennis shoes every day and went kappa, if that gives you any idea.

Make sure to carry a purse. It might rain so it’s nice to have an umbrella. Athens gets super muggy and hot so the portable fan was a must. Wear comfortable shoes. You could find your self walking all of sorority row in 10 minutes. Dresses should be light and airy. Don’t wear anything too heavy or uncomfortable. And take advantage of T-shirt day because it’s a chance to escape the dresses and show off your casual style. =)

It's true. Try to wear things that make you feel good and confident. Follow the pointer guidelines the best you can and you will be fine. Remember comfortable cute shoes are a must for the long days.
