What are the chances of receiving a bid from a sorority if I am coming from California? I have no connections, no “recruitment coach,” etc.

Personal connections and rush coaches are far less important to getting a bid than being polished and put together, confident, a great conversationalist, and being able to show that you would be a sweet and fun sister. Clean up your social media, be nice to everyone you meet, and be open minded during recruitment. Get recs for all houses because they can make the difference and tip the scale when it comes down to a cut or an invitation.

You’ll get a bid, it just might not be to a house that you want, stay open with the options you having going into pref
