do southern fraternities accept people from north

I was always told that all the top the Fraternities at schools down south like Texas-Austin and UGA don’t really accept kids from the north east, is this true?

i dont think anybody really cares. its more the fact the top fraternities will rush guys they know so if you dont have any friends in the top ones then you may not get an invite out. if your attitude toward rush is that you want to join the top fraternities, you have the wrong mindset brother
