Since most sororities have more legacies than the quota limit, not much so keep an open mind about all sororities.

Legacies are a dime a dozen these days, so it doesn't carry the weight it used to. There are so many legacies that sororities can't possibly extend bids to all. If your mom was in the actual chapter at UGA, it might -- depending on the sorority -- help you get through more rounds, but there are no guarantees in such a competitive recruitment. An open mind is really crucial at UGA. I do know PNMs who pledged their legacy chapter at UGA (even if the person they were a legacy through went to school somewhere else), but I also know ones who got dropped right before pref. So -- keep an open mind to all chapters and good luck!
