I actually think their spot is accurate. Aphi was pretty popular during rush this year from what I heard. Gamma chis and other chapters were impressed w/ them. I also heard that a good number of girls who preffed middle or top tier houses with alpha phi ended up placing alpha phi first and/ or suicided them.

Um Alphi Phi must not have been doing super well during recruitment since they thought it was in the rules to give all the Pnms fans with their name on it as a GIFT :-) and then claimed ignorance of the rules which makes no sense being that they're run by a huge aphi chapter. The few girls that post on this site make their whole chapter look bad with their constant self ranking.

Theta stays right there. Theta wasn’t popular during rush. No one in my group was into them. Others definitely got better pledge classes.

The girls are cute but they definitely took a decent chunk of QR/Grade Risks (which is typical of APhi everywhere and also new chapters in general). I think Pi Phi/Alpha Gam/even DG took a much more well-rounded groups which in my mind puts them in a better spot overall. I think APhi needs a good COB/class next year to really put them up that far.

Grade risks? The average gpa for freshmen class is 4.04. There are no grade risks at UGA

Okay original commenter, sorry for generalizing (br they did take one girl I knew from HS who was definitely a grade risk). My QR comment still stands: the Alpha Phi chapters at my sisters’ schools are also super into looks and image and take lots of QRs at the same time. seems like a national thing.

Try not to judge. It makes you look small minded and seem like a prude with your QR comment. There are girls in every single sorority at UGA with questionable reps that are "into looks".
