PNMS! if you are reading this you are probably feeling so nervous, stressed, and anxious. TAKE A DEEP BREATH! everything will be okay if you go into rush with an open mind and know that you will find your home at georgia whether it is on milledge or not! you are all so amazing and rush does not define you. with that being said, here are positive attributes of every sorority that you should look for and find out for yourself this week! most of all, remember to have fun. you are meeting some lifelong friends in your gamma chi groups, whoever you are next to during rounds, and in your potential sororities. HAVE SO MUCH FUN!!! rush will be what you make it, but remember YOU GET TO FIND YOUR SISTERS AT THE END OF THIS WEEK!

kappa: a lot of private school girls who love each other and have so much fun! great social calendar and always down for a good time.
phi mu: similar to kappa, a lot of fun loving girls who are good to each other. and let's talk about how beautiful that house is???
chi o: out of old row, probably the most diverse! great group of girls who love each other, love to have fun, and can be seen in a variety of organizations around campus.
theta: great philanthropy, trendy girls who also love to have a great time. like chi o, also have a great mixture of in state and out of state! thetas are awesome.
adpi: super trendy, great social media presence type. adpis are super cool!

kd: probably have the best social media presence in all sororoities at georgia! have a lot of fun together and have really been on the rise.
zeta: very classy, sorority girls that definitely love being a zeta. known as a little more religious, but in a great way!
aopi: a mixed bag of artsy, religious, and super outgoing girls! so much fun to be an aopi because there's a huge variety of girls.
tri delt: what a wonderfully diverse group! GORGEOUS house that is very new and they continue to renovate. all tri delts are genuine and kind.

sigma kappa: chill, laid back group of girls that could not hurt a soul. sigma kappa is definitely on the rise and any girl would be lucky to call herself an sk.
axo: one of the most genuine groups on campus. love one another so well, as well as other sororities at georgia. definitely more outdoors types, which is so awesome!
dz: the cutest girls! love to have a good time with one another and are involved in a variety of organizations on campus. also, bite of athens in the spring is always amazing!

pi phi: such a cooky, lovable bunch! very diverse as well, and have so much fun with one another. some quiet, some super outgoing!

agd: the most wonderful and genuine girls. love one another and are SO involved on campus! have never met an alpha gam that wasn't the sweetest.
dg: their new house is going to be stunning! great sisterhood with girls that love and support each other throughout anything.
alpha phi: already making amazing strides on campus! any girl would be lucky to call themselves an alpha phi at georgia with their beautiful house and their already strong sisterhood.
dphie: wow, what an amazing group of girls. they came to georgia and completely established their beautiful sisterhood that is so loving and supporting of each other. dphies are so outstanding and have so much to offer to every girl coming through rush!

PNMs if you look at any ranks, look at these. These are all the best (and true) things about each sorority here at UGA and a good guide about what to expect before going in for round one!
After round one though, it’s good to drop any preconceptions you may have if you find your opinion changed by a good or bad reaction you have at a house.
This week is about you!

Only thing that would have improved this post is if the houses were in alphabetical order. The positive qualities are great, but this is still a rank just like every other post on here and while the positives are nice to hear, just because OP describes a house a certain way doesn’t mean that’s how PNMs will feel there. We’re all unique people, both actives and PNMs, with the different interests, strengths, and weaknesses that will lead to different houses being better fits for different PNMs.

PNMs: I know it’s going to be hard and a stressful week, but really do try to form your own ranks and positive/negative qualities based on YOUR experiences at every house and no one else’s. At the end of the day, you may not have any control over which houses invite you back, but if you keep an open mind, you’ll be able to go to bid day with a clear head, confident in whichever house you match with!

This is a great post and I also want to add that the house that ends up on your bid card absolutely ADORES you and can't wait to get to know you! No sorority is obligated to give you a bid - they chose you because they wanted to! Even if they weren't your very first choice, just know that all the sororities here are full of amazing girls and they chose YOU to be a part of a sisterhood that is very important to them. That's no small thing. Y'all are already so loved, no matter where you end up you should be proud of yourself and excited!

YOU GO GIRL! I looked on here hoping to find ONE positive message for PNMs during recruitment week—and here it is!

Those of us in sororities LOVE our groups and our sisters. We all hope you get to experience it as well. Sisterhood is for the rest of your lives—don’t ever forget that...
