"lower" tier frats

is it worth it to join a "lower" tier frat? i mean like sigma pi and delt not like the fraternities with like 30 guys. do they still have a decent social calendar, sorority connections, socials and whatnot? i only ask because people always seem to bash them

i know people say stuff like "trust the process" or whatever all the time but it feels pretty hard to get a good view of these types of fraternities without an outside opinion because the brothers will obviously paint it in the best light which might not be the most accurate
