Not so much. You must be a good fit for the sorority, first and foremost. Chapter legacies are slightly more desirable than legacies from just anywhere, but there are so many legacies nowadays that it really doesn't help a lot. Being a legacy will get you to the second round out of courtesy. Most sororities must be prepared to offer a bid to any legacy that attends their pref, so if they are going to release you it must be before then. It is usually wiser to let only your legacy chapter know of your status because sometimes when other houses know, they assume that you will go with your legacy house. Make sure that your legacy house gets a legacy form on you from nationals if there is one, and get your recs for all houses.

Being a legacy means that that house generally has to keep you 2 rounds, if they keep you after the 2nd round you generally have a bid. They want to cut legs early.

Best advice = GET RECS
sometimes, sororities wont even look at you unless you have one
