Yeah it’s harder to make good grades when you’re not all fashion design majors LMAO

No kidding. There’s barely 0.35% ish between top and bottom house.
Goody goody for you if you beat academics by .3% when you have ZERO sisterhood. Where do I sign?????

I mean I wouldn’t say a .35 difference in the overall average is meaningless..... And what house are you accusing of having all fashion design majors how would you even have that information

A .35 would also be the difference in SDT’s GOA being where it is now and being a 3.97. The difference seems small but when GOA is only out of 4.0, every 100th of a point counts.

^^ Butt hurt Kappas trying to justify their subpar grades

Houses that have top pledge classes and top return rates year after year aren't "butt hurt", but sadly negative people like you are, so go out there and do something nice.

Less than .2 between #1 and 17, and most chapters a squeezed in right around 3.5. Alpha Phi and DPhiE didn't do badly, but there's a substantial gap between Kappa and Alpha Phi that they need to work on narrowing.

Doesn't Aphi have mostly freshman as members? Don't freshman typically make lower grades? Most of the other chapters have upperclassman and fewer freshman. Would that account for some of the the gap and lower gpa? Not sure if that would apply to DphiE since they are not as new...Just thinking out loud.

Agreed, alpha phi and dphie will narrow that gap.

Actually alpha phi has a lot of sophomores and juniors. There just aren’t enough freshman to colonize, plus you need older girls with the experience and maturity to take leadership roles. Plus the alpha phis who are freshman now will be upperclassmen taking harder classes in just a couple years. The grades could honestly go either way, it’s not an easy gap to close, especially with the Alpha Phi’s reputation.

Colonies usually have a lower GPA to start off with because the girls they pull from are oftentimes (obviously not always) girls who were cut from other chapters for grades, and they have less of an option to be choosy. This likely will even out once a colony gets to recruit in formal, because they can cut based off of a national minimum GPA even if they don't have historic return rates. Give it time.

A lot of freshman actually get higher grades than upperclassmen since general classes and intro level classes are way easier than 3rd/4th year major specific courses.
