do all houses cut the same number of people?
by: heydoes each house get to pick how many girls they invite back? or are there basic number guidelines for how many need to come back each round?

Based on the individual return rates from past years, Panhellenic gives a basic percentage of girls that individual chapters can invite back. This gives everyone the best chance to fill their quotas. Chapters that are highly desired ask less girls back but still cut a fair amount from round to round The good thing about this is that it gives girls a chance to look at houses that are a possibility and it lessens the chance of someone getting strung along to pref

Right before pref is the toughest because if you make it to pref you're basically guaranteed a bid, so if a house isn't sure about you, they'll cut you before pref

Not true. Quota is based on the number of PNMs who attend at least one preference party divided by the number of sororities. So if only 500 PNMs attended at least one pref, then quota would be about 27 (500/18) and if 5000 attended at lest one pref party then quota would be around 270 (5000/18). Quota is totally dependent on the number of PNMs and nothing else. Stop spreading lies.

it depends. Usually the first round, but the round right before pref might also be tough because any girl a house invites to pref is technically somewhere on their bid list, so they have to be more selective. just brush off your cuts and focus on the great houses you have left because they see you as possibly part of their sisterhood!
