how important are recs?

Hi!! I'm planning on rushing this fall and I don't know that many sorority alums so I don't have recs for every sorority. How important are they in terms of getting into sororities at UGA?

Extremely important to extent that they have an idea who you are prior to coming to Athens. Likely 1500+ women are going thru recruitment. They need to make decisions on who to invite back for 2nd round. Recs increase that opportunity. DO women get into chapters without them? Certainly, but put the odds in your favor and not theirs...

Check with all your neighbors, teachers, coaches, church friends, relatives, parent's work colleagues ...you likely may not know who you know just yet. And get them in ASAP! Recruitment is in 5 weeks....
