question about dg
by: Baby dawgSo I'm a PNM and I've been told that every sorority is good except for DG.. My friend in a different sorority at UGA pointed out that they've been on campus for a long time and still have a bad rep, so what's wrong with them? Like are they expected to do poorly again this year or will they improve?

DG is is actually one of the relatively newer sororities at uga and had a scandal about 10 years ago where they lost their charter for a couple years or like half the chapter got kicked out or sometime (not sure what exactly happened). So when they got things figured out, they had to try to get numbers up to stay on campus. That was around the time that DPhiE lost their charter due to not being able to keep their numbers up. So from what I've heard, DG took everyone they could get until like 2007-2009ish. They've met or exceeded quota for the last 3 years and are expected to do really well this year. They have been getting more selective the last couple years now that numbers aren't an issue.
Additionally, every single chapter is in a good position to get a good pledge class this year with over 1500 PNMs participating in recruitment! So please keep an open mind and rank the houses based on your own experience at each house because there truly are no bad sororities at UGA and DG has definitely come back from their scandal a while back, so you will definitely have a similar experience at DG that you would have at any other chapter! And please for the love of God, stay off of GR the next few days! Recruitment is hard enough without having 100000 negative, subjective opinions in your head!!!!!

Who know who wrote this... Could be DPhiE, could be AGD, could be a dude trying to stir up drama, possibly could even be a PNM haha. But honestly, PNMs need to realize that the gap between top, middle, and bottom tier chapters is not as big as some people assume, and ranking based off only tiers and reputations will only set you up for disappointment! The overall experience will be reasonably similar no matter where you end up tbh
