spirit week
by: CuriousJust curious: how much do y'all think that all the practice during spirit week helps a sorority? I mean do PNMs actually rank houses based on how loud the songs are or how well they navigate the house? I just don't see the point of having 4-5 days of this crap

I don't think PNMs are supposed to be impressed by how loud the songs are or how well members navigate the house, but I do think that you can tell a lot about each house when you walk in and the members seem happy and enthusiastic about being there, and seem to get along well with each other.
Spirit week is probably more important for getting everyone back together and focused after summer, reuniting everyone in the house around a common goal, and working out any glitches than it is for practicing songs. I actually kinda like it - or at least I don't hate it.
