Its definitely a factor even if nobody wants to admit it. If you went to some Atlanta private school you're already on their radar so unless you did something to ruin your reputation you should be okay! Not everyone is a jock

No, no matter if you were private school or not don't let this psych you out. If you're pretty cool smart and all those things then sororities will want you! Also, there are several metro Atlanta public school that are just as nice as many privates. Lots of wealth in some of those areas and the members are aware of that

Any advantage for PNM's from certain schools is NOT about the 'wealth' associated with attending a private school or a public school in a 'wealthy' area. It is simply about the already-established sorority connections through these feeder schools. Sorority members who have attended certain schools will already know, or personally know of, PNM's from the same schools. The PNM's were in the grades below them or younger siblings of their friends or parents' friends. This is what gives those PNM's an advantage, connections and relationships, not money. These ties perpetuate from year to year to year. PNM's who actives already know are far more desirable than a complete unknown no matter how great her resume is.
