by: SophomoreI know that so many of y'all are reading the posts on this cite over and over again just like I was last summer, because you're so excited and nervous and you just want to be as prepared as possible for recruitment. But PLEASE do not let superficial rankings and warnings get in your way of having an awesome experience with recruitment!! I know it's the most cliche thing possible, but when actives say that we wish more PNMs would just relax and be themselves, WE'RE TELLING THE TRUTH! Real passion is so much more endearing than fake passion. If you love Harry Potter, Volleyball, poetry, cheerleading, Doctor Who, Gossip Girl, ect, talk about it! Share yourself with us and don't worry about us thinking what you like is "weird" or doesn't fit the sorority stereotype. I promise, we are not all Lilly Pulitzer and glitter and pearls.

So true! I love Lilly Pulitzer, glitter, and Starbucks, but I also really like soccer and Pokemon go! During recruitment I'd be happier talking to PNMs about soccer and Pokemon go than I would be talking about the more stereotypical girly things! So PNMs please be honest when we ask about your interests and hobbies! Even the girls in sororities who fit the sorority/basic white girl stereotype aren't all completely superficial and we don't want superficial fake girls as our sisters! Whether you're a girly girl, or super preppy, or more hipster/artsy, or anything else, we want to get to know y'all for who you really are!
