only 17 years old-problem or no?

Because technically any private event at a bar is 18+ so unless your ID says you're older than that, you won't be able to get in to the bar for the social

I mean I'm not going to post online recommending that you do that, but realistically it is extremely common and there will most likely be many girls in your pledge class who are "over 21." And as for your sorority standard's chair, she will know you're not 18 so that's an added liability for the chapter, but I really doubt she would be a stickler for the rules that much and not let you go to the socials assuming the bar lets you in. If you don't make about deal about being 17, I doubt anyone else will.
