should i join gphib at uga from out of state schoo
by: CuriousSo I am transferring to UGA this fall from an out of state school, and I our GPhi chapter is pretty good. Of course I plan on affiliating, but I am just curious what our chapter here is like. Any and all comments are appreciated! I just don't want to go in blind.

Lower mid tier but I've met some that are cool. They don't seem to party as much as some, but if you like to go out, you'll definitely be able to find people to go with. Honestly I 100% recommend reaffiliating because being in any sorority at UGA is better than not being in one at all. I know one girl who was a gamma phi and reaffiliated here but ended up dropping because her pledge class didn't really accept her. So I'd say definitely give them a chance, and if you haven't connected with them after a few months, you can always drop.

I agree but also think you are a troll. If you aren't then you would of already been talking to the girls at the UGA chapter. They are fine here. And as for saying its better to be in one than not at all. I think thats a little dumb because every school and every chapter is different. I'm about to be a junior and while my sorority is freakin awesome. There are some down sides. My closest friends are broken up between my house, other people in the English dept and just people I've met the past 2 years. You can have an amazing time in Athens and make wonderful friendships even if it isn't a perfect click!!!
