On one hand, PNMs should make their own decisions about each sorority. There are awesome girls who fit in so well with one of the "bottom tier" houses and are really really happy there.
On the other hand, AGD has been downright desperate the last few years and it's getting out of hand. They've been trying to flood this site with the message that they're improving, and they take pretty girls even if they have awful personalities or character. They take this site to heart - that looks and socials are all that matter (when they still don't have a great social calendar).
So the one warning I would encourage PNMs to hear about AGD: keep in mind that for several years now, they have gotten decent at making their social media look it's best, flooding this site at times, and taking girls who are slightly prettier than they look in the past. The problem is, this has cost them their sisterhood. The AGDs who just graduated had a really great bond, but they failed to pass than on to their younger girls. Their freshman and sophomores especially are very cliquish and many girls do not hang out with their sisters except for at socials or mandatory events. And the "improvement" that AGD has pushed so hard, is very small at best as their looks and social calendar have only improved slightly. They've been very fake lately and it's catching up to them.

I'm sorry but of course you're going to judge the entire sorority when it is not the single sorority doing this stuff, it is the sorority as a whole and their exec board. Funny how AGD is the first sorority to release a recruitment vid. Most sororities here don't do that AGD is trying to prove themselves. Now there's nothing wrong with that but you can't say they have a sisterhood where they care about everyone when they hide all their not pretty girls in that video, and only showcase the girls who are DECENTLY pretty, at best. They don't care about their sisterhood or their sorority as a whole, they troll websites like this, obsess over their tumblr and Instagram, because yes they are trying to get better, again not a crime, but it's obvious how superficial they are and how much they care about other's opinions on them.
Also let me add theirs an add circulating of their recruitment video, "UGA Alpha Gam broke the Internet with their recruitment video" like ok AGD no you didn't. You definitely got that article put their. No one cares enough about you or your recruitment video and if you didn't do desperate stuff like this, people would probably actually like your sorority.

Literally the only thing most people have against AGD is that they're fake as hell, they perpetuate every negative stereotype the Greek community is trying to get away from, and they think improvement is only based off looks and socials. And a lot of their older members feel rejected and excluded as a reason of the changes they're trying to make. Thats just sad no matter how you look at it

Everyone has different opinions about different sororities and their own...BUT you can't truly judge a sorority and their sisterhood when you are not even in it!!! It is easy to stereotype but just think...how much info do you truly know? I am in a sorority (not AGD) and I know it is difficult to go into meeting new people without prejudgment. But all that really matters in the long run is if you have good friends in your OWN sorority and love the community you are in.
