social calendar
by: CuriousI'm going to be rushing in the fall and I'm just curious about which sororities have the best social calendar, I really want to pledge a sorority that hangs out with a lot of good frats and goes to parties often

I'm going to be honest, you don't get a ton of say in which sorority you end up in. You can go into rush with a general idea, but don't get disappointed if you don't get into the house you had your heart set on. Answering your questions though, the best social calendars would be ADPI, Phi mu, Kappa, Theta for old row, and KD, AOPI, ZTA for new row. The type of girl varies in them though so just because they have good social calendars not all of them are known for being "partiers" if that's what you're looking for. Most of the sororities have the same amount of philanthropy events, but I've noticed that middle or bottom tier seem to be more involved in general.

Okay! Thank you so much, yeah I'm just curious about the social calendars but I'm keeping an open mind about the sororities in general. I'm definitely just really excited to meet all the different girls in the sororities and go from there.

I understand, it's a mutual decision but more or less the houses pick you so I get I don't have much of a say, I was still just curious.
Do sophomores have a better chance to getting picked because of the upperclassmen quota? Or can the sororities not even pay attention to that quota?

The odds are decent for sophomores because of the quota, but it all depends on who got know. If you're not a freshman (unless you're a transfer) everyone, even DZ, AGD and DG, expects you to know at least a couple girls in the chapter since you've been at UGA. They want the kind of girls who fit in with Greek life, already hang out with frats, have other campus involvement etc...

actually i genuinely am going to be a pnm lmao Im rushing as a sophomore. I'm not trying to make any sororities look bad? I'm just curious about which ones have a "better social calendar" since you guys always talk about that on here. I'm also curious which ones have more philanthropy events/get more involved on campus
