Zeta Tau Alpha - ΖΤΑ Sorority at University of Georgia - UGA 1.8 is not able to recognize class and quality because they have neither. It is sad the way this house has declined in the last 5 yrs. They have taken in some qirls of inferior character. I don't give a care what anyone says about old row- with the exception of one house they try to pledge morally sound girls and look beyond their looks.

Zeta Tau Alpha - ΖΤΑ Sorority at University of Georgia - UGA 2.3 I know exactly the PNM you are talking about she is my sister's best friend and to be honest I had the same thought process. She is beautiful, smart, amazing, and the best girl anyone could have in a PC. I cannot believe they cut her and took another girl from our high school who was inferior in EVERY WAY including morally. I really don't like the way this chapter is heading. But glad this PNM got an even better house and I know she is happy so maybe ZTA did her a favor. Their loss for sure

I know exactly the PNM you are talking about she is my sister's best friend and to be honest I had the same thought process. Zeta Tau Alpha - ΖΤΑ Sorority at University of Georgia - UGA 3.0 All this talk leads to one thing - this system is archaic and doesn't work as it should! Do the math ladies! Every year there are more rushees and more legacies! My sorority's chapter advisor told me yesterday they had 120 legacies and they're pledging 65. I know it's difficult - every sorority works individually as a national organization but at recruitment time they have to come together and work out a better system that is designed to fit a particular school's circumstances. Panhellenic needs to step up and rework things NOW!

It brings up a question if they are willing to cut legacies after round 2 and not attempt to get to know them a little more, are they going to stab each other in the back too?

Zeta Tau Alpha - ΖΤΑ Sorority at University of Georgia - UGA 2.5 I've been sending recs to GA ZTA for years wondering what they are looking for!Just today I heard from a pnm double-legacy who was cut before 3rd round. She looks like a model(3x on homecoming court), NHS 3yrs, gpa 3.8, sr class co-president, 3 yrs honor council , elected "friendliest" in sr class, etc. etc. IN OTHER WORDS YOU CAN'T GET ANY BETTER and then I get a call for recs today for girls who I know personally and who are so much inferior and they're considering them for pre round. It does make me wonder if the actives are smoking something!!! I'm not sending this house any more recs - it's a waste of my time.

Zeta Tau Alpha - ΖΤΑ Sorority at University of Georgia - UGA 3.0 is I wish we could release legacies before we do..if we know we are going to cut them (but never based on looks!) then we are taking up a place on their card that could be used by someone who may actually extend a bid to them. Sounds cold but its really better in the long run for everyone
