Delta Gamma - ΔΓ Sorority Ratings at UGA

I roomed with a dg my freshman year, all I can say is she and her friends from this sorority were some of the sweetest, loving, and easy going people I’ve ever encountered. My roommate and I had many talks about our sororities throughout our freshman year and all I can say is these girls seem to be very involved, always down for a good time, and some of the most caring people I’ve ever met. My roommate was a social butterfly so she brought lots of her sisters around and from what I could tell, no matter what type of person you’d consider yourself you could find a great group of friends within this sisterhood. Highly recommend if you have a heart for people, philanthropy, and involvement around campus

honestly it’s a sorority at an SEC school. It’s big and there’s gonna be different types of people in any sorority and you will be closer to certain people over others. that is how any big group of people work; however, it’s not fair to say that they are fake or rude or only care about themselves if you only hang out with two people and be judgmental of those that have a bigger friend group. Yes, there are going to be friend groups in the sorority but only because you can’t be best friends with absolutely everyone in your life. DG takes pride in their sisterhood and philanthropy. they do their best to make you feel like a sister and that you can always find friendship anywhere in the sorority. Remember that the exec board is a group of girls that are your age, they are 40 year olds that have their life planned out, but neither do you. if you expect some perfect sorority, don’t join one. but dg is as real as you can get and they do try their best and if you can’t appreciate that and enjoy the friendships you can make, don’t be in delta gamma. simple

I also joined this sorority my freshman year and while I had fun my first semester my second semester was absolutely awful. These girls hide themselves behind their “great sisterhood” but are incredibly catty and rude. I was called many names in this sorority by girls who wanted the same bedroom in the house as many others did and then they were forced to apologize before I reported them to honorboard. these girls are so fake it’s ridiculous. Honorboard doesn’t care at all about any of the girls that aren’t their friends all they care about is your money because they can’t budget an entire chapter well. They need new leadership asap. It’s also a weird mix of the super christian girls and potheads and everyone in between. This is no one’s first choice sorority despite what anyone tells you during rush. These are all the sorority leftovers thag don’t wanna go dphie. If you wanna save urself tears, money, and a year of ur life, avoid dg at all costs… literally

I joined this sorority my freshman year and let me tell you I’ve never faced worse bullying at the hands of girls before. With malicious intents, these girls told me as an already anxious individual with lots of PTSD that I had no problems because I “was comfortable”. If they knew my family’s monetary struggles maybe they would have seen differently. I got bullied and harassed on social media and in person. I felt unloved. They drive me to near suicide. When I told the executive board this statement, they seemed not to care. They hid behind the front of a “strong” sisterhood when in reality they jump at the opportunity to tear others down including other sororities. I was bullied for the things I enjoyed and for trying to be funny. I was desperate for friends. I wanted to find acceptance. I was told by some girls that the reason I was so hated was that done girls were jealous of looks and how much attention I received from guys. However, I thought I could use that to my advantage. My sisters even asked me to network with other feats because I was good looking. While I don’t see myself this way, I still received my ex-sisters’ disapprovals. No matter my attempts at friendship and kindness I felt an outcast. Besides their wavering sisterhood, DG also is strict in attendance and activity; be warned that if you have a busy academic schedule, you will make up your lack of attendance in numerous fines. You will end up spending more money trying to stay on good terms with standards than actually getting in. You may say ahh ex sorority girl is just mad she didn’t get the sorority she liked or had to pay a fine, but no. I experienced trauma on behalf of Delta Gamma and would tell my story and publish it. They ruined my first year of college. I hope they feel sorry for what they did to me.

They are the sweetest girls! Very genuine and actually friends with each other. Join this house if you want to have fun, but gain sisterhood at the same time! Super cute girls too!

delta gamma is definitely home to some of the sweetest and most beautiful girls i have ever met. they aren’t top tier but by the looks of their pc 21 class, HOLY they should be. Pc 21 has so many fun and HOT girls. DG has definitely improved in the last two years. Ladies and gentlemen, watch out for them

They’re a mix of different girls that it’s kinda hard to define them. The ones I kinda know are always out downtown partying but they are still pretty involved. Proud of them for dealing with all the hate though, they don’t seem to care about that stuff. I could see them getting better next rush

DGs are super sweet!! They get a bad rep but are super fun to go out with!! I see DGs downtown all the time, and they are super cool.

Wish they had better social rep, wish the girls had higher confidence, wish they were not stigmatized over weight, and I wish they had more connections with sororities.
