To the beautiful sorority girls
by: ily all
Hello, I am a girlfriend of a frat boy here at uoft.I am not in a sorority. As someone who has been regularly monitoring the behavior and actions of sorority girls throughout events and formals, here is what I have to say:
Why do you copy the actions of those around you? Is their frequency healthy for YOU? While you are slimming your waist on facetune and pulling the trigger because your last meal felt like too much; ask yourself, was this the girl you were meant to be? While you are at home obsessing over men who would trade you for a gram of blow, there are other women out there who are accomplishing more, doing more, improving themselves more in an area where the attention of men and vanity does not manifest. That could be you too. You are so much more beautiful than you think you are. Let yourself heal, detach from material reality and allow yourself to reflect on your life's true purpose. And don't forget, you are so much more beautiful than you think you are. Once at a formal, I overheard some sorority girls talking about how little they ate today as if it were some sort of competition. I was in the bathroom stall when I heard this, and was absolutely appalled. The girls who were speaking so lowly of themselves were undeniably beautiful. Who tainted your minds to think like this? It's not worth it, go live the life you were meant to live. There is nothing better than being free <3
