I use to be a member of alpha phi (PC 20') and it is not what their social media depicts at all. the girls are very judgemental and I never felt welcome to swing by the house or hang out there with the so-called live ins. most of the girls do not pay their own dues, their parents do and have disposable income like I have never seen before. i felt like i had to have golden gooses or a monclear jacket just to fit in. it is not that those things matter but that you feel different than the majority, like the black sheep. everyone talks behind each others back and it is very hard to find anyone genuine. most are too concerned about keeping up with some image not to mention it is almost 2000 to be in this exclusive group that has criteria for entry. most of the girls come from money, and if not they are comfortable being surrounded by it, you must be in good shape and have a pretty face, they mostly allow only white folk in

that’s so true. when you have so much disposable income it can be very easy to forget that many people are not in your position and can feel inferior to your group. having the mere ability to put $2000 aside for a social club is a privilege itself. So many other people your age would dream of spending that for fun as you do but have to pay for rent, food, and other essential items. these social groups are just another example of how wealthy empower wealthy and they keep that circle very close knit by having these criteria to basic entry
