do sororities haze?

Im thinking of joining a sorority and im kind of on the fence on it. I have friends that are in it and they seem to really like it. However ive heard that every sorority does hazing. I know they all say they dont but i dont buy that?

panhel sororities are pretty strict on hazing. From my understanding, it would likely be hazing from individual members and not as an overall chapter, they’re not even supposed to let you clean up after events, hold doors etc because that counts as hazing. As someone said earlier, you really wouldn’t know until you join and find out.

I can’t confirm but I have heard stories. Pledges need to have no flab jiggling when sitting in cars.

Both the frats and sororities haze (even at uoft and even though they consistently deny it). The hazing in the sororities are usually done through psychological torture / gaslighting while the frats mainly keep theirs physical.
