Phi Delta Theta - ΦΔΘ Fraternity at University of Toronto - UofT 4.0 Great guys though they do need to be more selective about membership, when they were refounding they clearly lacked standards. They are pretty strong considering their recent return to campus. Not exactly like they have a tonne of competition at UofT

Phi Delta Theta - ΦΔΘ Fraternity at University of Toronto - UofT 2.0 While the jury is still out on whether recolonization "worked", I think most people who have seen frats in the U.S. recolonized as dry houses by unsucessful boomer alums are mortified to see this come to Toronto. Colonies are essentially a pyramid scheme run by nationals. They get unsuccessful, loyal-to-the-shield alum with nothing better to do to start the scam. The recolonizing class is financially and socially pressured into recruiting more socially inept freshmen who aren't smart enough to lead successful campus organizations into joining a "social fraternity." The national fraternity pockets $300 per initiate while banning the from drinking or anything fun in order to any and all avoid financial risk on their end. It sucks that this is irreversible - once a frat like Phi Delt heads down this road there isn't going back, and you wonder who will be next. DU and Beta nationals are officially dry, so they're not far from Phi Delt. Even TDX - the glorious drunkards they've always been - have attracted unwelcome attention from their nationals. Greekland might well be majority dry in a few years.

Phi Delta Theta - ΦΔΘ Fraternity at University of Toronto - UofT 1.2 Bottom bottom bottom house. I don't think this is a real fraternity, tbh. I think it is a slum tenant property run by creepy middle-aged dudes with ruined marriages who want to 'relive the glory days'. That seems to mean pushing evangelical ideas about sobriety and abstinence to young men and scam students looking for a cheap place to live. A lot of illegal activity going on at this place--especially tenancy (expect to be lied to). If you try to join this house, you will be living with a full-time paid live-in baby-sitter who will spy on you and convince you to 'join a brotherhood' whose friendship seems to be as strong as however many other campus dudes you can get to pay the salary of your baby-sitter. His degree didn't land him a real job, but he'll take your money! What a mess. I wouldn't go anywhere near the beady-eyed guys who live at this house now. They seem to be very uncomfortable around people and especially women.

Phi Delta Theta - ΦΔΘ Fraternity at University of Toronto - UofT 3.9 The faceless baseless comments about our house on this site do not reflect our 114 year legacy at UoT. We have and continue to be a strong bonded and competitive house. We have more active members than most greek homes on campus and we are a viable DRY alternative that is a successful balance of social and academic greek life. Our famous Phis from this chapter have been and are Canadian business giants, held senior CF military ranks, are well known doctors, actors, lawyers and academics and have been members of the Canadian Senate. Our brothers have served and gave their lives in both World Wars. And our Alumni are engaged and extremely supportive in the ongoing renovation and beautification of our home and pack our annual alumni events. If you are looking for a clean, established, well rounded greek experience, we welcome your interest. We are ALWAYS proud to be UoT Phis. Ontario Alpha - est.1906
