Helping freshman out here. This is how it is, and I included the full greek names so you know who is who when you get to campus (lot of frat/sorority nicknames):
Fraternities:
1a. Pike (Pi Kappa Alpha)
1b. Machi (Sigma Chi)
2. KA (Kappa Alpha Order)
3. SAE (Sigma Alpha Epsilon)
4a. DKE (Delta Kappa Epsilon)
4b. Lambda (Lambda Chi Alpha)
5. Chi Psi (Chi Psi)
6a. Sig Pi (Sigma Pi)
6b. Asig (Alpha Sigma Phi)
7. PiKapp (Pi Kappa Phi)
8. Ksig (Kappa Sigma)
9. Aepi (Alpha Epsilon Pi)
Sororities:
1a. Kappa (Kappa Kappa Gamma)
1b. Chi O (Chi Omega)
1c. Beta (Kappa Beta Gamma)
2. Tri Delt (Delta Delta Delta)
3a. DZ (Delta Zeta)
3b. KD (Kappa Delta)
4a. Adpi (Alpha Delta Pi)
4b. Theta (Kappa Alpha Theta)
Reason I include a,b,c,etc. is that those fraternities and sororities are generally considered to be around the same level or equal to one another. Just how it is.
