Each sorority is usually trying to reach quota, which is often 45-50. Quota is determined by the number of PNMs left going into the preference round, divided by 8, the number of sororities. If you are curious for how the numbers for recruitment work, google "release figure method"!

sometimes it can also change based on the sorority's national quota, so if for example 2 girls transferred/disaffiliated in the previous pc (making that pc down to 48) then the incoming pc may be 52 to balance out over all chapter size in order to keep nationals happy... just kinda depends on the individual organization's needs
