So I kinda messed up and didn't go out to enough parties and talk to brothers at fraternities and Im not on an any email lists. Can I still get back on? Are frats still looking for recruits or do they already have it mostly figured out?

How important is it to make friends with sorority and frat people in your first semester? I think you can still go through rush and make a good impression, but I'm not sure. Can anyone else answer?

for guys its pretty tough to only start trying rush week (u probably wont get a bid)... it can be done but its just not super likely. Best advice i could give would be to start going out ASAP and just try and meet brothers, dont wait till rush week

There is still time. Go out with friends and meet guys, talk to people in your classes. Easiest way to do it is to go to a frat that your friends are going to that night and try to get on email lists.

Most places have core groups, but nothing is ever settled until bids are out

its not even halloween yet, u still have plenty of time to get on some lists... just follow some of ur friends to some parties and talk to a lot of brothers and you still got a shot

most freshmen who think they know where theyre going right now are wrong... theres usually a lot of cuts made in november but even then u can get on lists just start going out now so that youre a familiar face
