During rush are sororities looking to see what designer labels you are wearing or is it mostly about personality?

They aren’t looking at labels. No one cares what you wear. It’s about personality and interests. Wake has a very chill Greek scene.

Labels are not important - but looking overall well polished is .

Depends which sorority you’re aiming to be in. We all know which one cares about your looks more than anything. And everyone in it seems to hate it after joining. But it goes without saying since they don’t even let all of their members talk to PNMS during rush (only the coolest prettiest girls are matched with PNMS so they can keep up their image of “perfection”). No need to say which sorority that is though because if you’re a genuine person you will see through that and if you’re someone who cares about appearances and labels then you may be a perfect fit

It’s kappa. They will act like your best friend during rush and after bid day you’ll probably be crying to your friends in other sororities because they are exclusive within their pledge classes. Happens every single year

Everyone knows at least one of them who has been super upset after rushing bc they are so mean and exclusive within the sorority. Defeats the whole purpose of joining a sorority in the first place. But if you think it will make you look cooler to be in it then try it and good luck. At the end of the day what sorority (or frat) you are in won’t make more of a difference than who you actually are as a person especially after everyone goes abroad junior year
