hazing for chi o?

Does chi o have hazing? And is it true that they have snap bids? If so how do those work and is it hard to get one?

Snap bids are given out when XO doesn't meet the quota for the amount of spots they want to fill. The last couple years many girls that XO wanted went to Kappa, Beta or Tridelt instead so they had to scramble and figure out how to fill their spots up with girls who did not get a bid. This is NOT a good thing because they basically end up with girls that are not their first choice and results in what is called a class full of random girls.

Although snap bids are given, they are not something you want to get. Ideally you will be able to get in to the group that wants you and you want them and be at those pref nights. Snap bids are not something you should want - only as a last resort.

They have hazing but it’s more drinking related and funny

Nah my friends in chi o said they had legit hazing. Not as bad as kappa but still not good. They try to play it off to outsiders and PNM’s like it’s “just funny stuff” as a cover

Yes they have hazing. No idea why they do that to their own baby girls as it brings 0 value to them and often causes girls to go elsewhere, but yeah, they do. :(

They haze and I don’t get it. There’s no point in joining a sorority that is going to break you down instead of build you up. This isn’t mean girls the sequel. There are plenty of awesome sororities that treat their members with love and respect

Fraternities hazing is a different discussion thread all together. This one is discussing sorority hazing and Chi-O specifically. In this case, most women do not want to be hazed. Women prefer to be part of an environment that is supportive and kind. Having a close sisterhood is the ideal and hazing does not help the bond for women, it just doesn't. The whole macho thing that happens in fraternities, just doesn't happen in sororities.
