Not at all! Some sororities are big on pre rushing and others not so much. Your opinion will change through out the semester anyway. Just try meeting girls in each group and don't worry about rush "dates". That's a huge DDD thing but still doesn't guarantee anything. Enjoy this time getting to know everyone and ignore gossip.

Completely untrue. If you go up and talk to literally any sophomore girl in a sorority she almost guaranteed WILL ask for your number and take you to lunch because they need to be meeting freshmen. And if you don't know anyone at all, you can still end up anywhere

Everyone has answered you well, except the first troll, of course. just wanted to state again that you are fine and Wake rush is actually very fun. We have eight strong sororities so you can't go wrong and there is a fit for everyone. This is a very open campus so even after pledging, you will still have friends in every sorority and friends who chose not to join. Relax and enjoy first semester!

Yes, you need to expand your horizons. Don't know what you are talking about "exclusive dinner parties" but if you aren't getting invited then start looking at other sororities. There are 8 great ones- look at them all.
