how hard is it to get into top tier sororities
by: wfuHow hard is it to get into sororities? Mainly top tier ones? Do you need a lot of connections? I live pretty far away and I don't know anyone who has gone there so I don't have any connections

Wake takes people from all over the US and the world.. so if you leave really far away it doesn't really matter. Of course it is good to know people but that doesn't necessarily mean you will get a bid. Just make sure you are social and don't do anything absurd first semester and you should be set for rush. Don't be focused on "top" sororities either before you get here. Figure out what you want in a sorority and where you like to go out, then look at the chucks. This should narrow it down for you

Placement rate is around 75% so if you rush there's no guarantee you will get a bid. Rush at wake is competitive but you just need to be a nice and genuine person and I'm sure the rest will follow
