selectivity and first choice
by: NicknameDo you find that pledges typically get a bid from their first choice? Is greek life at Wake selective in this sense?
#1by: depends
are you talking about guys or girls? I would say for guys no, and for girls it's about 50/50. Because pledge classes are smaller for fraternities, rush for guys is a lot more competitive. Rush for girls is competitive as well, with only a 75% placement rate (just because you rush doesn't mean you will get a bid), but pledge classes are bigger so you have a greater chance of getting your first choice.

I was gearing the question towards fraternities. That being said, what is the placement rate for fraternities? Also, I've heard Lambda has best gpa, so would you say it's hard to rush lambda?
