KBG pulls a lot of northern girls. In the majority of the north, joining a sorority is a joke and no one really cares about greek life. The girls that join KBG probably don't care about the fact that they aren't a national panhel sorority. Remember that there's a place for everyone during rush. Some girls who have made the decision to go elsewhere because KBG isn't national still talk about how they wished they went beta. To all the freshman reading, go where you feel the most at home.

A lot of people look down on Beta because they used to be Pi Phi. The reason KBG is still one of the best is because they have kept their traditions on Wake's campus, it was the very first women's group. A mix of hot, smart, fun, genuine girls. They mix with everyone and there is way more to them than partying. All the sororities at Wake are great! Just depends where you feel most at home.

Sororities do matter outside of all colleges -- alum
Networks, LinkedIN groups, alumnae groups in just about every middle and major city. My cousin found an apartment and Hamptons house through her NYC alumnae chapter. And my sister got an amazing internship.
The TRUTH here is that the former Strings/Pi Beta Phi's lost their charter for hazing -- and then ran to their daddies and had the University recognize KBG because no other real strat would have them. KBG is a joke. So weird. So irrelevant. No more than a club that doesn't matter after Wake.

I'm not really sure what "career connections" you are referring to, everyone knows that is just the excuse people tell their parents so they can join greek life. Anyone who uses that as a reason to join a sorority has been getting their info from the wrong source
